    Arise and eat

But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he might die, and said, "It is enough! Now, Lord, take my life, for I  am  no better than my fathers!"  Then as he lay and slept under a broom tree, suddenly an angel touched him, and said to him, "Arise  and  eat." http://bible.us/1Kgs19.4.NKJV

    How to Factory Reset Cisco 7940 / 7960 / 7941 and 7961 phones

Reset the 7940 and 7960 IP Phones to the Factory Default

In order to perform a factory reset of a phone if the password is set, complete these steps:

    1. Unplug the power cable from the phone, and then plug in the cable again.

The phone begins its power up cycle.

    2. Immediately press and hold # and while the Headset, Mute, and Speaker buttons begin to flash in sequence, release #.

The Headset, Mute, and Speaker buttons flash in sequence in order to indicate that the phone waits for you to enter the key sequence for the reset.

    3. Press 123456789*0# within 60 seconds after the Headset, Mute, and Speaker buttons begin to flash.

If you repeat a key within the sequence, for example, if you press 1223456789*0#, the sequence is still accepted and the phone resets.

If you do not complete this key sequence or do not press any keys, after 60 seconds, the Headset, Mute, and Speaker buttons no longer flash, and the phone continues with its normal startup process. The phone does not reset.

If you enter an invalid key sequence, the buttons no longer flash, and the phone continues with its normal startup process. The phone does not reset.

If you enter this key sequence correctly, the phone displays this prompt:

    Keep network cfg? 1 = yes 2 = no

    4. In order to maintain the current network configuration settings for the phone when the phone resets, press 1. In order to reset the network configuration settings when the phone resets, press 2.

If you press another key or do not respond to this prompt within 60 seconds, the phone continues with its normal startup process and does not reset. Otherwise, the phone goes through the factory reset process.

Reset the 7941 and 7961 IP Phones to the Factory Default

    Complete these steps:

    1. Unplug the power cable from the phone, and then plug in the cable again.

The phone begins its power up cycle.

    2. Immediately press and hold # and while the Headset, Mute, and Speaker buttons begin to flash in sequence, release #.

The line buttons flash in sequence in order to indicate that the phone waits for you to enter the key sequence for the reset.

    3. Press 123456789*0# within 60 seconds after the Headset, Mute, and Speaker buttons begin to flash.

If you repeat a key within the sequence, for example, if you press 1223456789*0#, the sequence is still accepted and the phone resets.

If you do not complete this key sequence or do not press any keys, after 60 seconds the Headset, Mute, and Speaker buttons no longer flash, and the phone continues with its normal startup process. The phone does not reset.

If you enter an invalid key sequence, the buttons no longer flash, and the phone continues its normal startup process. The phone does not reset.

If you enter this key sequence correctly, the phone displays prompt:

    upgrading

You are all set to begin the next sequence of fun to see if you can get the phone to do what you were originally attempting.

    Be Thankful

    servicezoom | June 27, 2011 at 6:30 pm | Tags: thankful | Categories: Motivational Poems | URL: http://wp.me/pJFV1-bF

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire,

If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when  you don't know something, for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times,

    During those times you grow

Be thankful for your limitations, because they give you opportunities for imporvment.

Be thankful for each new challenge, because it will build your strength and character.

    Be thankful for your mistakes.

They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you're tired and weary, because it means you've made a difference.

It's easy to be thankful for the good things.

A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.

Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.

Find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become your blessings.

Subject: Free Networking Webinar this Thursday

My colleague, Mike Pennachi is offering a free, (but limited sign-ins) "Network Troubleshooting Tips and Tricks" webinar this Thursday.

Mike and I go go back a ways, and I would recommend any of Mikes sessions for anyone interested in learning.  Nice thing about Mikes Webinars is that they are informative and free, no strings attached.

As I previously mentioned, space is limited, so reserve your Webinar seat now at:

I recently ran across this link posted in the Cisco Alumni email group.  It shows the original Cisco Terminal Server product from 1989.  Great historical document on how far we have come in telecommunications today.

    Get your own Dropbox account!

Dropbox has to be one of the best tools I use these days.  It is cloud storage and local storage on every device you have.  You can save your files into a folder on your PC, MAC, phone or whatever, and they will be synced across all your devices without any intervention.  It is great to have files backed up but even better to have them backed up, synced, and available wherever you are.   I like to keep my configuration notes for those key cisco asa firewalls and routers, a selection of pictures to show anyone anywhere of my family, and other things I just want available when needed on demand.

Get your account at dropbox by clicking on this link  http://db.tt/MOa0r9o.

    It will change your life!
